First Day of School and Call Runs Away

The Lyd started school last week and loves it just like her mommy did. According to her, they haven't learned "ANYTHING." But she does get to see "Ri" on the playground and play chase with the boys! She has talked about playing Ariel with Jancey and Jack (aka Prince Eric) but is otherwise pretty non-informative about what goes on. I wish I could spy on her and see just what really goes on. Lydia and Jancey are in the same class- they are BFF most of the time. But good luck to their teachers when they're in fighting mode!
One of Brad's oldest and dearest friends, Matty Matt has a little boy in Lyd's class, "Super-Ty"!
And in other news, Call (for whom "Nutdog News" really gets its name) has lately been climbing our fence and escaping. Last Friday Brad and Lyd took the big dogs training and then left them in the fence to dry off. Of course within 5 minutes Call was gone, but this time he was no where to be found. We spent the next 2 hours driving around looking for him and calling him. We found him. In our driveway, in the back of Brad's truck, he was just sitting in his kennel. With the door unlocked! He is BONKERS!

Beach Babies

We just got back from the beach with Brad's family. They've been going to the same beach with the same friends for over twenty years! It was alot of fun- but a little different with two kids- especially a 7 week old!

5 months later...

Well, it was even worse than I imagined. Not only did I not post until Easter, but I am just now getting back to the blog in MAY! Oh well, better late than never. I figured I'd better put a few things on here before Baby Wade gets here next week. I am scheduled to have him on Brad's Grandpa's birthday, the 2oth. I am feeling good and have been MAJORLY nesting. I think we are as ready as we can be. The Lyd is excited, but we'll see what its really like once she has to start sharing us. We pray alot for baby Wade and and have talked alot about him and how he will cry alot...and how mommy will be tired ALOT...and how daddy will REALLY want to go fishing ALOT! Anyhow here are a few quick pics that do NOT give the last five undocumented months any justice!
We had a tree fall on our house, had a wreck with a drunk driver, and had our water meter and tv struck by lightning. State Farm loves us.
I have been sewing alot and am taking orders if anyone feels sorry for us after the above picture!

Lyd got a bike for her birthday. She had ridden approxiamtely 6.4 yards before stopping for her first (of many) water breaks.
Brad killed his first turkey.

Lyd has made some new friends (and so has mommy!).

Happy Easter...

I figure that if I go as long without posting as I did the last time, that will put us at Easter. I am just getting a head start! Can you believe Lydia was ever this small? I sure have had fun playing dress up with that little girl!

And then last year she shed her cute Easter dress in order to dress up with her cousins. What are we going to do with a boy....yes I like to hide big announcements in the middle of posts- just to make sure everyone is reading. It's a boy! Still no name picked out but we are taking suggestions.

We had a great Christmas this year. We celebrated with Brad's family and then went to Florida with mine. You can't beat snowmen made out of sand!

Lydia endured her obligatory picture with Santa. No tears at least...no smiles either.Dressed up in Aunt Katie's shoes...this would have been our Christmas card if I had gotten them out this year:(Merry Christmas. Happy New Year. Happy Mardi Gras. Happy Easter.
